Be Strong and of Good Courage (Joshua 1:9)
Joshua 1:9
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Strength and courage are a commandment from the Lord. God is encouraging Joshua before going in to possess the promise land as he takes on the baton from Moses in leading God’s people.
There is an assurance that Joshua received from God that we can all lean on as we read and take in this scripture. That is the assurance that God is with Joshua wherever he goes.
I remind you now that God is with you wherever you go.
When we face those impossible tasks and those daunting situations it is not only a comfort, but it is also a strength to know that God is with us.
We draw not from our own strength, but we draw from the strength of the Lord who created and possesses heaven and earth.
God has already seen the end of the matter that you may be facing because He is the everlasting Eternal God (Isaiah 40:28).
With Him you have the victory no matter which way the matter falls because God works all things together for the good of those that love the Lord who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
Jesus can use the most painful situation and bring a tremendous amount of good out of it, that’s the power of His resurrection.
We thank God for His grace towards us to give us that divine enablement to overcome our fear. To walk in His power, His love and still have a sound mind no matter what we face.
This week as we stand up to the situations and the circumstances that may seem to be beyond our capabilities be reminded God is with you wherever you go. Those situations are not beyond God’s capabilities, He is able to deal with them and He will.
Let’s thank God for His grace to give us courage and strength to face whatever stands in our way. Be strong and of good courage, God is with you wherever you go.
This is God’s word spoken in love. Remember The LORD our God, He is good and His mercies endure forever. May the blessings of the LORD overtake you and come upon you and His love surround you, for His glory. Have a blessed week. In Jesus Name.
Be a blessing and share this with someone who needs to hear this today.
