God is Able to Heal and Bind our Wounds (Psalm 147:3)
3He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
Psalm 147:3
We gathered around the first aid instructor as she demonstrated on her volunteer how to apply a bandage to a wound.
She made it look so easy, then we tried and made a total mess of it. We were just learning while others were refreshing their first aid knowledge.
As the instructor walked around to each duo taking turns to practice the art of applying gauze and then wrapping the area in an outer bandage, she would give tips on the tightness and the angle of the fold of fabric.
When asked how long she had been practicing medicine, the amount of years she stated was a lifetime and then some!
Then I understood (in part) the greatness of our God our healer who has been perfect in administering healing forever.
God knows the angles, he knows the hidden things He’s the expert, He’s been doing this a very, very, very long time! He is able to let the water of His Spirit wash over our weariness and pain.
He is careful to bandage us up in His presence so we can heal. For some this will be instantaneous, for others, it will be a process over time. Whichever way it happens we believe and access the purposeful healing of God in Christ Jesus and we are grateful.
This week as we spend time in the healing presence of the Lord let’s ask God to help us to access His healing by faith. As we believe the God that heals our broken hearts and binds up our wounds.
This is God’s word spoken in love. Remember The LORD our God, He is good and His mercies endure forever. May the blessings of the LORD overtake you and come upon you and His love surround you, for His glory. Have a blessed week. In Jesus Name.
