God’s Kingdom Come (Matthew 6:33)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:33
Motivation and ambition can be wonderful things, to have that drive to want to do good and progress in life is an awesome thing to have, but have you ever thought to challenge the motive of that ambition?
Hopefully, our motives and desires will always be to glorify God as we ask Him for His inspiration and direction so that His Kingdom will be seen and lived out in the earth as it is in Heaven.
Sometimes we have to do a tune up of our desires like you tune up a car. We need to ask ourselves “Is the desire of my heart in alignment with what God desires for me to do in the earth as part of His Kingdom agenda?”
Just like that car engine, we may need a tune up or a service, looking closely at each part of our decisions, our thinking and our actions and making adjustments or replacements as needed. Without condemning ourselves but living a life of genuine repentance and freedom from sin.
Could it be that we may be in danger of developing a selfish ambition? i.e. The type of ambition that is about what we want to do rather than what God wants us to do?
Also, could it be that we have gone on ahead of God, once we received confirmation from Him we rushed into some things before we had gone through the process of being trained and proved over time?
Are we serving a king that isn’t God, brought about by our own selfish ambition? Or maybe we’ve extended our hands to snatch something for ourselves that God would have given to us freely by His grace over time? Maybe we’ve found ourselves working so hard to keep that thing, that we cannot rest in God?
The bible says in Philippians 2:3 that we should do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit …
Are there things that we need to hand back to God?
This week in our personal time with God, let’s dig really deep and ask God to realign our hearts with His will and His Kingdom agenda. We may need to humble ourselves and repent and come back to God the author and the finisher of our faith and ask Him to show us His vision again and set us back on the right path.
We may need to hand some things back over to God and say, “in your time God.”
The key to winning is to always go back to God for a tune up and realignment daily. That way we are always in line with God’s Kingdom Agenda, this is what He provides for, this is what He strengthens us for, this is what He is Jealous for and this is what He sends protection for.
This is how we continue to win.
This is God’s word spoken in love. Remember The LORD our God, He is good and His mercies endure forever. May the blessings of the LORD overtake you and come upon you and His love surround you, for His glory. Have a blessed week. In Jesus Name.
