So Shine Before Men (Matthew 5:16)
Matthew 5:16
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
The light of the children of God is a little like building a fire in a survival situation.
You may have seen the scenario on a tv show or even lived it, out in the middle of nowhere, stranded, lost, or even shipwrecked like the Apostle Paul in some way or form.
People in distress, trying to gather themselves and make a plan, cold, wet, and shellshocked. Usually, the first thing they would always try to do is light a fire and build a shelter.
There is something about a fire that causes the morale of the people to rise. They are drawn to the light and the warmth; it brings hope and sets the atmosphere that is conducive for a breakthrough.
People come back to themselves as they warm themselves by the fire, plans are made, stories are shared, songs are sung, hearts are strengthened, lives are saved, and the light is seen for miles.
In some small way, this can illustrate the importance of the light of God that is within each and every one of His children, it is a lifesaver.
We may not think much of what we have but the light of God within us is a lifesaver to others, it is what God will use to draw others to Himself.
The light that you shine that blesses, others also gives birth to a breakthrough for you.
So, shine before all people, let the fire of God be seen for miles, people will see God’s glory and will praise our Heavenly Father for the good that He has done through you.
The light that you shine that blesses others, also gives birth to a breakthrough for you.

Whatever wilderness situation you may find yourself in, the light of God is with you. In Exodus 13:21 God went with His people in the wilderness as a pillar of fire at night.
God doesn’t change He is faithful, He burns brightly for you to find your way, He will not leave you or forsake you.
This week let’s give thanks to God for placing His light within us and upon us, it is not our doing, it pleases God to do this. Let’s thank him for making us like a fire in the wilderness and for blessing us with His presence in the darkest nights.
This is God’s word spoken in love. Remember The LORD our God, He is good and His mercies endure forever. May the blessings of the LORD overtake you and come upon you and His love surround you, for His glory. Have a blessed week. In Jesus Name.
Be a blessing and share this with someone who needs to hear this today.
