Sometime-ish is Not God’s Way (James 1:17)

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

James 1:17

In the UK where I live the weather is very changeable. I do not exaggerate when I say it can go through all four seasons in one day including snow. Some people are like the UK weather they can change and you never know what season you will find when you greet them, we call that being ‘sometime-ish’. 

Thankfully, with God this is not the case, God is not sometime-ish He doesn’t blow hot and cold. If God is for you He is for you! The Bible asks the question if God is for us who can be against us? (Romans 8:31) Stating without a shadow of a doubt that we have a consistent and faithful God. 

Everything that is good comes from God. He is the source of all light and when He gives a gift, He doesn’t change His mind and take it back. 

Nothing can separate us from His love He is loyal beyond measure! In Malachi 3:6 God says I am The LORD I change not! That is reassuring for us when so much is going on in our lives, we have a God that changes not! 

Let’s give thanks to God that He is so consistent and ask Him for the grace to be as He is, loyal and consistent, this can happen only with His help, we lean on Him to give us everything. Including the grace and divine enablement to do supernaturally The things that we could never do naturally. 

This is God’s word spoken in love. Remember The LORD our God, He is good and His mercies endure forever. May the blessings of the LORD overtake you and come upon you and His love surround you, for His glory. Have a blessed week. In Jesus Name.
