Revelation 3:11 (NKJV)
11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.
What is time in comparison to eternity? The two can’t be measured against each other because time is linear going in a straight line while eternity is circular having no beginning and having no end.
As a people of God through Christ Jesus we are acquainted with both time and eternity. God has placed eternity in our hearts (Ecclesiastes 3:11) and in our everyday living and the activity of our lives here on this earth; our seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years are governed by time because there is a time for everything under the heavens (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).
Have you ever had a day go by so quickly? One minute you leave the house maybe to attend an event, the next thing you know its lunch time and before you know it, the evening has come upon you.
When the night-time comes we say something like “10 O’clock already? That was quick where has the day gone?”
We can be so occupied with the events of the day that some of us may not realise that time is going quickly.
All of a sudden Jesus will return and while there is nothing wrong with being busy, we must ask ourselves, are the things that we have busied ourselves with, part of God’s eternal plan?
Sometimes we’ve not consciously co-laboured with God, not realising that the business that we may have may be a Kingdom business with an assignment to finance the activity of the Church in the earth.
Or that the nursing assignment is an eternal assignment, maybe God wants you to show compassion and care for those whom the enemy has attacked in their bodies and minds.
To speak life and conduct yourself with humility tact and discretion, standing in agreement with those praying for healing to manifest. Practicing your medicine up close, yet praying from afar, taking up the mantle of the intercessor all while protecting the dignity of your patient.
And we could go on and on with each and every vocation, but time would not permit me. What Jesus has for you, is a crown of life, it is for those who continue on and remain steadfast in the midst of their trails, who love Jesus, this is His promise (James 1:12)
Hold fast; grab hold and don’t let go of the promises of Christ Jesus, don’t allow circumstance or people to falsely persuade you out of the blessing that you have in Jesus. 🙏🏾💕 #Devotional #Jesus #SimplyMichMich Share on XHold fast; grab hold and don’t let go of the promises of Christ Jesus, don’t allow circumstance or people to falsely persuade you out of the blessing that you have in Jesus.
Consciously partner with God for His Kingdom to come through what you do in your life; it doesn’t have to be ‘churchy’ but it does have to be ‘godly’. Dare to submit your dreams and desires to God allow Him to walk through them, give Him permission to prosper what He wants. Trust Him, there are great things in store.
This week we thank God for giving us a crown of life, we submit our desires and dreams to God and ask Jesus to walk through, scrutinise and weigh up in line with the will of our Heavenly Father. May God prosper us or remove and give us better than before as we partner and co-labour with Him for the advancement of His Kingdom in the earth. May we be found about our Father’s business when He returns.
This is God’s word spoken in love. Remember The LORD our God, He is good and His mercies endure forever. May the blessings of the LORD overtake you and come upon you and His love surround you, for His glory. Have a blessed week. In Jesus Name.
Be a blessing and share this with someone who needs to hear this today.
Take Care x
