Live Through Him (1 John 4:9-11)

1 John 4:9-11

⁹ This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. ¹⁰ This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. ¹¹ Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Left to our own ability we could not do what we have been asked to do by God. It is only when we are in Christ Jesus depending upon the Holy Spirit to empower us, so that the life of Christ within us can give us the divine enablement to do all things by faith in Him.

Then we are able to love and forgive in the most difficult circumstances, not because of our own ability, but because of Christ in us the hope of glory!! (Colossians 1:27)

We demonstrate that we are God’s children when we love in the manner that He loves, when we forgive in the manner that He forgives, when we don’t respond in the same ill manner in which we may have been treated.

This is Jesus’ nature, He made the sacrifice not because of our love for Him or our response to Him, that came after the sacrifice rather, he made the sacrifice first because of who God is and how He loves.

This is love, not that we loved God but that He loved us.

As we start our week with the Lord bask in His love, let it wash over you, surround you and swell up within you. May God manifest His love in us in the difficulties that we may face.

We belong to Jesus, He loves us so much, no matter how dark it gets, His light is brighter. 

We thank Him for giving us the grace to keep going and shine our light for His glory (it came from Him after all).

Keep going, we can do it, not in our own ability but live and love through Jesus.

This is God’s word spoken in love. Remember The LORD our God, He is good and His mercies endure forever. May the blessings of the LORD overtake you and come upon you and His love surround you, for His glory. Have a blessed week. In Jesus Name.
