Thank You God the Blood of Jesus Works (Hebrews 9:14)

¹⁴ How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

The blood of Jesus Christ achieves so much for us! Under the old covenant (the first agreement) when it came to being ceremoniously clean on the outside, the people had to sprinkle themselves with the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a cow. 

Thankfully we do not have to do that anymore, the sacred blood of Jesus is so powerful that it is able to cleanse our hearts and make us ceremoniously clean from within. This is because He offered himself up as a perfect sacrifice by the power of the Eternal Spirit of God.

We can do away with acts that lead to death and we are now free to worship and serve the Living God! 

So, Christ Jesus is the one bringing together God and His people under a new agreement (the new covenant) and loving Father, child relationship. Those that accept His invitation to become His children through faith in Christ Jesus can now receive the blessings of God that He has promised. 

Christ died so that those who were trapped because they had violated the first agreement, the old covenant can be freed under the new agreement, the New Covenant.

During our Holy week, some call it Passover and others call it Easter let’s give thanks to God for the precious gift He has given us in Christ Jesus His Son. Let’s remember the sacrifice that was made so that we can enter into the promises of God and inherit all that God has for us.
