Devotional You Saw My Affliction And Knew Psalm 31:7

You Saw My Affliction and Knew (Psalm 31:7)

Psalm 31:7

7 I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul.

Jesus is known as our High Priest that has shared the human experience with us.

God our Heavenly Father in His mercy and wisdom sent His only begotten Son to be stripped of His glory and wrapped in flesh before going to the cross for us.

Jesus dwelt among us and experienced exactly what it is like to be human so much so, that Jesus referred to himself as the Son of man many times.

God didn’t have to do this but because He loves us so much, He is willing to take the long and painful way round if it will mean that He saves you and me.

The unlikely and the insignificant in our own eyes? Jesus sees value and worth. It cost Him everything and He was willing to pay the price if it meant that He got us back from being lost forever.

God doesn’t leave the books unbalanced, there is always a day of reckoning, a day when the tables have to turn, and the favour of God is demonstrated because He saw that you were afflicted.

God will not leave the matter unattended even when you have moved on God will still establish His justice concerning you. The matter is not closed yet.

There is such a fierce and passionate love that God has for His children, our focus scripture says that God not only saw our affliction but that He also knew the anguish of our soul.

Biblically, to ‘know’ is not just the obtaining of knowledge it is also the actualised experience of a thing, person or place and it can also be used to describe sexual intimacy.

Therefore, in context to what we are discussing here, God has an actualised experience of the anguish that you have gone through or may be still going through.

The bible reminds us that we have a High Priest who isn’t afar off who cannot emphasise with our weaknesses.

The bible reminds us that we have a High Priest who isn’t afar off who cannot emphasise with our weaknesses. In fact, He too knows what it is like to be tempted in every way but was without sin (Hebrews 4:15).

So, when you and I go through tough times, God knows it and He feels it for us because He loves us.🙏🏾💕 #DevotionalLife #Jesus #SimplyMichMich Click To Tweet

So, when you and I go through tough times, God knows it and He feels it for us because He loves us. The bible also reminds us that when we are harmed it touches the apple of His eye and this won’t go unanswered (Zechariah 2:8).

This week draw comfort from this word as you draw closer to God in times of reflection and contemplation that may be painful. Jesus is right there with you, loving you through it. The difficulties you face today, they too shall pass, and God will deal with the matter because He saw your affliction and knew.

This is God’s word spoken in love. Remember The LORD our God, He is good and His mercies endure forever. May the blessings of the LORD overtake you and come upon you and His love surround you, for His glory. Have a blessed week. In Jesus Name.

Be a blessing and share this with someone who needs to hear this today.

Take Care x
