An Inheritance Among the Saints (Acts 20:32)

Acts 20:32 (KJV)

³² And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

When you are in Christ Jesus you are accounted for and marked as sanctified. You are a saint; you are righteous. Not because you get everything right but because like Abraham, you believed God. (Gen 15:6)

The Holy Spirit authored your recommendation, you are being spoken of favourably, you have been highly regarded as worthy of notice.

The things that we encounter may try to dictate our standing with God. Make no mistake, no matter what you have been going through, God thinks very highly of you and knows the word that He has spoken concerning you.

As our scripture encourages us, God’s word will strengthen you and build you up, and not only that, He will ensure that His word will not return to Him without having any effect (Isaiah 55:11) His word will achieve everything that He pleases and purposed in His heart.

We did nothing to deserve it, yet God has given us (who are born again) our rightful entitlement to His inheritance that He set aside for His children, through Christ Jesus.

Who, being fully man yet without sin and fully God went to the cross and died as a payment for our sins so that we could be redeemed back to God, what excellent grace.

This is the fundamental truth upon which we stand that fuels our expectation of God, we can believe Him in Hebrews 6:18 we know that it is impossible for God to lie and that He never changes. This is our reality and our assured hope.

This week as we gather ourselves together for what lays ahead, we can praise God for being our loving Heavenly Father who stores up good things for His children. 

Let’s pray for others to come to know Him as He really is and may we all come to know ourselves in Christ Jesus as He knows us and not what circumstances try to dictate. 

You are a child of God through faith in Christ Jesus and you have an inheritance among the saints!

This is God’s word spoken in love. Remember The LORD our God, He is good and His mercies endure forever. May the blessings of the LORD overtake you and come upon you and His love surround you, for His glory. Have a blessed week. In Jesus Name.
