Proverbs 2:6 (NKJV)
6 For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;
Who is speaking? Everyone, but we can be certain that only true knowledge and understanding can be found coming out of God’s mouth.
I once sat in a car having a conversation with a friend with their child in the backseat happily chatting and singing away.
The music was playing, and we were gabbing away having a good old time. All of a sudden my friend changed her expression and said “Shhh!! The sat nav is trying to tell me where to turn.”
Immediately the music had no choice but to automatically cut off to allow the voice of the sat nav to instruct us where to go next. Even her little child in the backseat understood that it was important not to interrupt at this point.
We listened intently, understood the instruction even though it didn’t make sense to turn where it said to turn but nonetheless we obeyed. It was a good thing too, there was a massive traffic jam further along the route that we were familiar with.
There are times in life when it may seem like everyone is talking, or just demanding our attention, voices are magnified and if we are not careful, we could run into a roadblock because we missed the instruction from The Lord.
As I reflected on this, I noticed that I had learned a wonderful lesson from the driver of the car. She prioritized the voice of the sat nav and everybody understood that if we want to get to where we are going, we need to hush up and let the sat nav be heard.
How much more do we need to do this with God?
So, what does hushing up in order for God to be heard look like to you? It could be more time in prayer, or it could be less time talking and more time waiting on God to speak? Or more dedicated worship or reading His word from a personal standpoint, or even not being so quick to make a move until there is confirmation? Only you and God know what works best for you.

Out of God’s mouth comes knowledge and understanding, if ever there was a time for this to be our daily bread it would be right now.
This week let’s make a point of setting our attention upon God and what He is saying to us. Let our lifestyle show that we have an expectation to hear important direction from the Lord and not give so much attention to distractions that can only send us headfirst into a roadblock.

We choose to walk according to the wisdom knowledge and understanding of Jesus that only comes from His mouth. He is the Good Shepherd and we are His sheep He knows us and we know Him and we hear His voice and a stranger’s voice we will not follow. For the words He speaks are spirit and they are life. (John 10:5,11-18, John 6:63)
This is God’s word spoken in love. Remember The LORD our God, He is good and His mercies endure forever. May the blessings of the LORD overtake you and come upon you and His love surround you, for His glory. Have a blessed week. In Jesus Name.
Be a blessing and share this with someone who needs to hear this today.
Take Care x
