Devotional the Lord is my Strength and Song Exodus 15:2

The Lord is my Strength and Song (Exodus 15:2)

Exodus 15:2

2 The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

This is a part of the first song recorded in the bible called ‘the song of Moses’, and interestingly the ‘song of Moses’ is also the last song recorded in the bible (Revelation 15:3)

Nothing that God does is by chance or coincidence, Jesus calls Himself the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending (Revelation 1:8), demonstrating that the Lord really is our song.

Among many things singing gives the heart courage and hope and Moses is identifying that courage and hope rests in the Lord, not on the outward, but God living in you and me.

God has an inexhaustible strength; He never gets tired. Eventually situations and circumstances tire, they lose their intensity, but God never does.

God is the one that fights our battles and when we feel that we are getting weary, He continues on until the matter is resolved and gives us the grace to go through it no matter how long it takes. 🙏🏾💕 #Jesus #Devotional #SimplyMichMich Share on X

God is the one that fights our battles and when we feel that we are getting weary, He continues on until the matter is resolved and gives us the grace to go through it no matter how long it takes.

Moses is stating the truth that it is God that is our rescue (salvation), not other people, He may use others at times however, there comes a point when we have to face our red sea.

God has an inexhaustible strength; He never gets tired. Eventually situations and circumstances tire, they lose their intensity, but God never does.

Simply MichMich

Our red sea moment is our impossible situation that we can’t get out of, in that moment all we have is the instruction of the Lord. And that’s all we need.

God is not afar off He is your Holy God your personal Lord and He is Lord of all, nothing is impossible with God. He has demonstrated to those that walked before us, just like Moses sang “My father’s God”.

And now it’s time for Him to show Himself as ‘your’ God He is able and He responds to faith, (Hebrews 11:6) gives us this insight:

6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

We can demonstrate our faith by choosing to believe God and praise Him in the midst of the struggle. To lean on Him in our times of weakness because His grace is sufficient for us and His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

God knows just what it takes to get through whatever we face, and when we come out the other side our faith is stronger and relationship is deeper, we are witnesses of His goodness and we can strengthen another.

This week as we draw from the strength of God let’s praise Him, no matter how our emotions may be affecting us. Let’s exalt him above everything anyway, it’s going to turn out for your good, let’s take the opportunity to demonstrate our faith in God now, let’s not wait until the battle is over and the war is won.

Let’s demonstrate that the Lord truly is our strength and our song. Praise Him!! Hallelujah.

This is God’s word spoken in love. Remember The LORD our God, He is good and His mercies endure forever. May the blessings of the LORD overtake you and come upon you and His love surround you, for His glory. Have a blessed week. In Jesus Name.

Be a blessing and share this with someone who needs to hear this today.

Take Care x
