Hebrews 9:22 (NKJV)
22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
Whenever you want to unlock a door you must have a key of some kind, whether it is a code, a proximity card / fob, or a physical key, you must have something that gives you access.
Man’s sin caused a separation between us and God, although God dearly loves His creation; a separation had taken place at the hands of the enemy’s deception, which man had fallen for.
We could even go as far as to say that physically and spiritually mankind was locked out. In Genesis 3:24 the bible tells us that God placed Cherubim and a Flaming Sword turning every direction to guard the way to the tree of life after expelling man out of the Garden.
When we needed a way to get back to God Jesus became ‘The Way’ for us, in fact in John 14:6 Jesus tells us that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life and no one can come to the Father except through Him.
We could look at the shed blood of Jesus like a very special proximity card / fob or a key that provides access to God, without it you and I would not get very far.
The most important factor is we have to believe, we must have faith. Nothing will happen, until you, believing that what you have been given is real and accurate, reach into your pocket, take out the key and put it into the keyhole and turn it; or place the proximity card or fob against the reader, only then will the door be unlocked.
When we needed a way to get back to God Jesus became ‘The Way’ for us

Without the shedding of blood there cannot be forgiveness because the blood of Jesus is the only acceptable sacrifice that has appeased the wrath of God removing sin and guilt.
We are reconciled back together with God by the blood of Jesus, without the shedding of blood, all of mankind would still be separated and that is something to give thanks for.
This week as we remember what Christ Jesus has done for us let’s give thanks for the shedding of the blood as a payment for our sins, without which there can be no remission nor reconciliation.
This is God’s word spoken in love. Remember The LORD our God, He is good and His mercies endure forever. May the blessings of the LORD overtake you and come upon you and His love surround you, for His glory. Have a blessed week. In Jesus Name.
