Keep our Minds Fixed on You Jesus (Isaiah 26:3)

3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Isaiah 26:3

When encountering difficult circumstances, the temptation may be to look around and despair. The temptation may be to try and work out how the matter will end. The temptation may also be to open our mouth and say everything that is in our minds that doesn’t line up with the word of God.

But God said in His Word that if we keep our minds on Jesus that He would keep us in perfect peace.

It is common knowledge that when a person is in a peaceful, rested state they are more receptive to new ideas and creative solutions to problems. Also, when a person is resting, they are less distracted making them more sensitive to the voice of God.

Have you ever been so angry or hurt or upset that everything else just goes out of your mind and all you can think about is what just happened? Or try to find reason over and over again? My guess is that there is a resounding yes!

Here’s the thing, the enemy of our soul is banking on that! The expectation is, if God’s people can be distracted long enough, they will forfeit their blessing because they’ll be so vexed in their soul, they’ll miss their opportunities.

If they doubt God then they won’t have the faith to birth the very thing that is a solution to their problem or receive closure in an area that they have been grieving about.

God in all His wisdom has given us a way out, He knows the difficulties that we face and has provided a solution however, it requires us to be in a position to receive it.

The position is perfect peace.

This perfect peace that is being spoken about in the bible means completeness, wholeness, welfare, health, tranquility, being at ease, prosperity, a harmonious state of mind and soul – Perfect Peace (Shalem Shalom).

The way to access this perfect peace is to focus on Jesus focus on the goodness of God and all He has done, especially when the need is very great. 🙏🏾 💕 #jesus #devotional #simplymichmich Click To Tweet

The way to access this perfect peace is to focus on Jesus focus on the goodness of God and all He has done, especially when the need is very great.

This week let’s ask Jesus who is called the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6) to give us the grace to walk in His perfect peace, to help us to keep our minds and hearts on Him so that we can be freed up to make room for God’s healing voice, for solutions and progress.

This is God’s word spoken in love. Remember The LORD our God, He is good and His mercies endure forever. May the blessings of the LORD overtake you and come upon you and His love surround you, for His glory. Have a blessed week. In Jesus Name.
