Devotional The Confession Of Our Hope Hebrews 10:23

The Confession of our Hope (Hebrews 10:23)

Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV)

23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

The kind of hope we have as believers in Christ is a lot different to the hope of the world. There is a major differentiating factor and that is the word ‘assurance’.

Both worldly and biblical hope means to have an anticipation and expectancy of what is desired to come to pass, however worldly hope does not have an assurance in Jesus

Worldly hope is based on an uncertainty, however biblical hope is based firmly on Jesus who had already settled every question by His completed work on the cross and demonstrated that God has the final say by His resurrection; death is not the end.

In the midst of all of the crises, we need not confess what the world confesses, for in Christ Jesus we have hope, the people of His Kingdom walk in a spiritual power authority and wisdom that over-rides and over-rules that which is of the world.

Hold on to the assured hope of Jesus He is faithful He can be trusted. The governments of this world may fail but Jesus never fails; even when it came time to die a gruesome shameful death, He did whatever it took to redeem His people. That is a Leader that can be trusted, He will see you through, so continue to confess the One in whom you have hope in.

This week as we hold our conversations and see the things that appear in our society. Let’s thank God that He made a way for us to triumph in the midst of adversity and arise and shine because of His glory, no matter what we face.

Hold fast to the confession of your hope do not waver, with Jesus, you shall overcome.

This is God’s word spoken in love. Remember The LORD our God, He is good and His mercies endure forever. May the blessings of the LORD overtake you and come upon you and His love surround you, for His glory. Have a blessed week. In Jesus Name.

Be a blessing and share this with someone who needs to hear this today.

Take Care x
